Well-led
Well-led – this means we looked for evidence that service leadership, management and governance assured high-quality, person-centred care; supported learning and innovation; and promoted an open, fair culture. At our last assessment we rated this key question Requires Improvement. At this inspection the rating has changed to good.This meant the service was consistently managed and well-led. Leaders and the culture they created promoted high-quality, person-centred care.

Governance, management and sustainability
At our previous assessment we found the provider had failed to use systems effectively to identify shortfalls and drive improvement in the service. At this inspection we found improvements had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of regulation. The registered manager now had effective oversight of the service and completed quality assurance audits regularly. Staff spoke positively about the registered manager and told us they felt able to come to them for support if needed. A staff member said, “[The registered manager] is supportive and responsive.” Relatives were complimentary about the registered manager. One relative said, “The service is running better now than it was previously. The person who is in charge now is on the ball.” Another relative told us, “The registered manager is approachable, and seems quite happy to help.” The registered manager submitted all notifications to CQC as required by law. A notification is the action that a provider is legally bound to take to tell us about any changes to their regulated services or incidents that have taken place in them.
