Galilee Care provides care and support for people living in their own homes, some of whom were living with dementia. Some people have physical disabilities. We completed this assessment between 17 March and 19 March 2025. We found 7 breaches of the legal regulations in relation to person centred care, safeguarding people from abuse, safe care and treatment, safe deployment of staff and competency of staff, lack of robust recruitment practices, consent to care not always being obtained in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and poor governance. There was a lack of robust management and provider oversight to care calls to ensure staff had sufficient travel time, that staff stayed for the full length of the call and arrived on time. In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/ or appeals have been concluded. This service is being placed in special measures. The purpose of special measures is to ensure that services providing inadequate care make significant improvements. Special measures provide a framework within which we use our enforcement powers in response to inadequate care and provide a timeframe within which providers must improve the quality of the care they provide.
