Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

All 13 patients feedback we received via the Care Quality Commission quick response code were positive about the care and treatment they received at the practice. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were “excellent”, “consistently offers a very high standard of care” and “attentive”, “gentle”, and “showed compassion”.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We looked at the most recent patient survey results completed in January 2024. Summarised results showed that 19 of the 20 patients surveyed stated that “the dentist listened and was professional.” Similarly, 18 patients felt “the practice showed high level of patient care” and all 20 patients strongly agreed that “the receptionist was welcoming and helpful.”

During our inspection we observed that members of staff were courteous and very helpful to patients and treated them with dignity and respect. Surgery room doors were closed during consultations; conversations taking place in these rooms could not be overheard.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights.

Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles.

Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
