Providing Information
Listening to and involving people
Equity in access
Equity in experiences and outcomes
Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.
People’s care plans were personalised and staff knew people well. They told us about people’s individual needs and how they ensured they were met, including people with diverse cultural needs. People were supported to go out of the home on regular outings. This included scenic drives to areas where people used to live. Staff told us these outings sparked conversations and promoted good memories for people.
Feedback from relatives was positive. Comments included, “[Name of relative] is much more outgoing now than when they went in, got their glow back, in every way they are looking better, more stimulated now, gives me peace of mind that they are being so well cared for.”
