Updated 11 February 2025
The dates of inspection were from 25 March 2025 to 15 April 2025, and we visited the home on 25 March 2025 and 2 April 2025. The Flowers Care Home is a residential care home providing support for younger and older people, including people living with dementia. The provider had made improvements since our last assessment. The overall rating at this assessment is good.
There were enough staff to support people safely. People were supported consistently by compassionate and skilled staff, who knew them well. The living environment was clean, homely, and well-maintained. The provider had systems in place to gather and respond to feedback. Risks to people’s health safety and welfare were assessed. Medicines were managed safely and people’s health and social needs were met. Governance processes were in place and there were regular audits and checks. Some spot checks lacked detail and required strengthening in order to provide a greater level of detail. The registered manager was supported by a deputy manager and care coordinator. The management team were responsive to the assessment findings and acted on our feedback throughout the inspection.
