Our view of the service
Tollgate Medical Centre is a GP practice that provides a range of primary medical services. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to provide the following regulated activities: diagnostic and screening procedures, family planning, midwifery and maternity services, surgical procedures, and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury.
We conducted an assessment that comprised of two elements: an off-site assessment on 1 October 2024 and an on-site assessment on 2 October 2024.
People's experience of this service
Feedback from patients and staff was mainly positive about the service. The practice’s results from the latest GP patient survey showed it was in line with the local and national averages, and over 80% of the respondents felt their healthcare professional was good or very good at listening to them. The patients we spoke with told us they had timely access to care and treatment. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as implementing a new telephony system.
