Willows Lodge Care Home provides accommodation, personal care and nursing care for up to 70 older people, people living with dementia and those who require nursing and palliative care. CQC regulates both the premises, and the care provided, and both were looked at during this inspection. The service consists of 3 units: Poppy Unit for people living with dementia, Buttercup Unit for people who require nursing and palliative care and Rose Unit for people who require residential care. At the time of the assessment there were 64 people living at the service. We carried out our on-site assessment on 4 and 6 March 2025, off site assessment activity started on 26 February 2025 and ended on 10 March 2025. The assessment was completed to follow up on the last assessment to see if improvements had been made. We found the service had made improvements and are no longer in breach of regulations. Staff now assessed and mitigated risks and care plans now guided safe practice. The management now had systems in place to monitor the service, which provided good oversight to monitor and improve outcomes for people. This assessment was unannounced.
