Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. One patient commented, “(Dentist) was really caring and thoughtful. He has such a gentle touch. My anxiety has reduced so much because of him and coming to this dentist. The best dentist I have been too!”.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous and considerate. We were told, “Fantastic dentist, have come here for years, I travel from Coventry here as such good care”.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. A patient commented that they “have been coming here for many years and have always been treated with respect. They always try and fit me in when I have issues”.

We were provided with the results of a patient survey conducted in January 2025. This related to reception with 52.2 percent of respondents strongly agreeing that they were welcomed into the practice in a friendly manner, 45.8 percent agreeing with this statement and 2 percent neither agreeing nor disagreeing. A further survey regarding reception was conducted in February 2025. Surveys were sent out on a monthly basis, to a random sample of patients who had agreed to take part and provided their email address.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. Staff told us that the management team were always available to provide support, staff were thanked for a job well done and we were told about the ‘free for all’ table in the staff room, on which the provider left snacks and treats for the staff to help themselves.
