The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. People told us staff supported them to be as independent as possible, for example in shopping and preparing meals and using public transport. People’s choices and preferences were recorded in their support plans. People were encouraged to do as much for themselves as possible and were supported to set goals to develop their independent living skills.
