People's experience of the service

Updated 3 November 2024

Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 12 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw 19 paper patient feedback forms, which had been gathered directly by the practice over the last 6 months plus a further 61 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Comments included, “I have always felt calm whilst visiting the dentist as in the past I have been very anxious of [sic] the dentist. The dentist talks me through every single thing he is doing, going to do and the reasons why I need the treatment. All the staff are welcoming from the admin team to the dental nurses always being helpful and nothing is too much trouble.” “The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond all expectations”, “Friendly practice and all the staff are really helpful. I've always had exceptional care here and really appreciate their work” and, “Our family have been using this dental practice for many years and we have had nothing but amazing service, especially for my two sons who have been going since they were 1 year old. The dentist is very knowledgeable and give good advice. The hygienist is also very good and thorough. I would highly recommend this service”.

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
