During an assessment under our new approach

Alexander House provides accommodation to a maximum of 67 people who require support with nursing and personal care. The provider is Exeter Care Developments Limited, part of the Care Concern Group. At the time of this inspection there were 29 people living there.

The assessment was completed between 22 January 2024 and 27 February 2024. A site visit to gather peoples’ experiences and observe care practices was carried out on 30 January 2024.

We looked at 14 quality statements; Learning Culture, Safe systems, pathways and transitions, Safeguarding, Involving people to manage risks, Safe environments, Safe and effective staffing, Infection prevention and control, Medicines optimisation, Kindness, compassion and dignity, Independence choice and control, Person centred care, Equity in experiences and outcomes, Freedom to speak up and Governance, management and sustainability.
