Our current view of the service

Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home is a residential care home providing accommodation with personal care for up to 32 people. The service provides care to older people. Our on-site assessment was unannounced on 20 January 2025. We looked at quality statements relating to areas in Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating. At the last assessment published on 5 May 2022, we found breaches of legislation. During this assessment we found the provider had not made enough improvement and remains in breach of legislation for person centred care, safe care and treatment and good governance.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
People's experience of the service

People and relatives spoke positively about the care and support provided and the staff who provided this. Although people would prefer more staff to ensure they can have social time together. One relative told us, “They are short staffed at weekends and some people are not being given the opportunity to go down to the dining room for their meals and eating them upstairs.” Staff were friendly and helpful. One person told us, “Staff here are nice, they look out for me.” Another told us, “Staff are very good and helpful.” People told us they felt comfortable raising concerns. One person told us, “If I am not happy, I can speak to staff.” People spoke positively about the food. During our visit we saw people supported by staff who knew them well and treated them with respect; staff were attentive to people’s needs.
