During an assessment under our new approach

Atman Care is a domiciliary care service and supported living provider, providing personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of assessment, the service was providing personal care to four people. We commenced our assessment on 20 May 2024, and this concluded on 03 June 2024. This location was registered in September 2021, and this was the first assessment of this new location. We looked at 95 evidence categories in the key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

Some people’s care plans, and risk assessments did not consistently contain sufficient detail or the relevant information to ensure staff were able to meet the person’s needs safely. The governance systems in place had failed to identify and rectify the concerns that were found during this assessment and during the internal auditing process. However, the provider took immediate action following the assessment to rectify the concerns that had been identified.
