The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to infection prevention and control. Improvements were found at this assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of this regulation.

Infection prevention and control
The provider assessed and managed the risk of infection. The manager was aware of how to manage an infection outbreak safely. Staff used personal protective equipment appropriately and clinical waste bins were present throughout the home. Staff told us they were given enough time to maintain the cleanliness of the home including regular deep cleaning. Staff ensured there was a regular kitchen cleaning regime and prepared food was labelled with the relevant information. The provider detected and controlled the risk of it spreading and shared concerns with appropriate agencies promptly.
